Trump sets out to unmask Democrats’ spying in 2016 elections

The Democrats are skating on thin ice which threatens to sink them President Trump has delivered on his threat to order the declassification of the contents of four Verified Applications made to the top-secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court by the FBI in October 2016 and January, April and June 2017. These Applications resulted in four warrants being issued by four different judges enabling the FBI to spy on an American citizen—Carter Page - who had been a member of President Trump’s 2016 election campaign committee. It has been alleged that the warrants obtained to spy on Carter Page relied mainly on unverified and unsubstantiated research prepared by former British Secret Service Agent Christopher Steele and paid for by the Democratic Party and Hilary Clinton. These allegations —if substantiated by an  investigation  authorized by Attorney General William Barr—could result in the uncovering of a scandal for the Democrats far worse than the Watergate break-in ...

Trump should delay release of unredacted FISA applications

Keeping the unredacted FISA applications under wraps will only increase the medias’ efforts to uncover their contents: good headlines and good news for Trump but really disastrous and depressing for the Democrats President Trump would be well advised to withhold releasing unredacted copies of the four FISA applications that secured warrants to spy on an American citizen— Carter Page—until Attorney General Barr’s nominee —John Durham—completes his investigation of alleged spying on the Trump 2016 election campaign. Trump promised to release the unredacted FISA applications in an  interview  with Fox News TV host Sean Hannity on March 27: “Mr. President, you have the ability to release the FISA applications.  There was the original applications, the three subsequent renewal applications.  We are told, Andrew McCabe said, no dossier, no FISA warrant.  That was a backdoor to your campaign before the election.  The dossier also was leaked to “The Washingt...

Open-records litigation by the conservative group Citizens United and superb investigative journalism by  The Hill’s John Solomon  have unearthed three critical State Department documents: The typed notes of a meeting held on 11 October 2016 between between Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Kathleen Kavalec and Christopher Steele – the author of the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton-funded Steele dossier an email Kavalec sent on 13 October 2016 Kavalec’s handwritten notes of the meeting (Kavelec Documents) The Kavalec Documents reportedly were not provided to the Ho...

Barr set to target State Department to unmask spying ringleaders

Mueller's moment has come and gone. Barr's barrage has just begun Attorney General William Barr’s revelation to a Senate Appropriations sub-committee on 10 April that he intended investigating possible spying on the Trump campaign during the 2016 election campaign should concern the Obama Administration, the 2016 Democratic National Committee and unsuccessful 2016 Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. “AG BARR: As I said in my confirmation hearing, I am going to be reviewing both the genesis and the conduct of intelligence activities directed at the Trump campaign during 2016. And a lot of this has already been investigated, and a substantial portion of it has been investigated and is being investigated by the office of the Inspector General, but one of the things I want to do is pull everything together from the various investigations that have gone on, including on the Hill and in the [Justice] Department, and see if there are any remaining questions to be addressed.” SEN...
